Industrial Gobo Projectors for Safer Workplaces

High-visibility safety projection systems for warehouses and factories — with pedestrian walkway and crossing installations featured on BBC Inside the Factory.

Improve awareness, reduce accidents, and enhance traffic control with intelligent, industrial-grade projection technology.

Overview

Painted floor lines and taped safety markings wear quickly in busy industrial environments. They fade, chip, and require frequent reapplication – creating downtime, ongoing cost, and inconsistent visibility.

ElectroGlow’s industrial gobo projector systems provide a safer, smarter alternative. Using high-output, industrial-grade LED projectors, we project safety walkways, pedestrian crossings, warning symbols, and traffic control signage directly onto floors or walls – maintaining clarity in high-bay, dusty, and low-light conditions.

Systems can be installed as permanent projections or integrated with PIR sensors and vehicle detection technology to create intelligent safety zones that respond dynamically to site movement.

All systems are installed by NICEIC approved engineers as part of our wider Electrical Installation Services

Case Study

Pedestrian Walkway & Crossing Projection — Beeston, Nottingham

Featured on BBC Inside the Factory

Challenge:

A pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Beeston required clear, highly visible pedestrian walkways and zebra crossings within active forklift and logistics zones. Traditional painted markings were prone to wear, requiring regular maintenance and disruption to operations.

Solution:

Electroglow delivered a full LED lighting upgrade, replacing existing fittings with high-efficiency industrial luminaires. Intelligent microwave sensor controls were installed to ensure lighting operated only when areas were occupied, improving both safety and energy performance.

The project included the installation of:

122 industrial gobo projectors to define pedestrian walkways

8 projected zebra crossings in high-traffic areas

19 PIR-activated units for intelligent, occupancy-based operation

Integration with Schneider Canalis distribution infrastructure

Recessed white gobo projectors for a clean, durable finish

This walkway and crossing installation was featured on BBC Inside the Factory, demonstrating the effectiveness of projected safety systems in real-world industrial workplaces.

Results achieved:

Clear, consistent pedestrian segregation across the facility

Improved visibility and safety awareness in forklift operating zones

No repainting or ongoing floor marking maintenance required

Installed efficiently within a live operational environment

Durable, long-term safety solution with minimal downtime

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our solar and EV solutions.

Can the projectors detect vehicles as well as people?

Yes. Systems can integrate PIR sensors or dedicated vehicle detection units to identify forklifts and other moving equipment in real time.

No. They enhance visibility and work alongside existing health & safety signage and compliance requirements.

Yes. Industrial-rated projectors are designed for high-bay and well-lit warehouse environments, maintaining strong clarity and contrast.

Very little. LED light sources typically last 30,000–50,000 hours, with only occasional lens cleaning recommended.

Yes. We provide ongoing maintenance support, including replacement of the LED module and driver when required — extending the lifespan of the projector without the need to purchase a complete new unit.

Yes. We can create custom symbols including STOP warnings, pedestrian crossings, directional arrows, PPE zones, and site-specific safety graphics.
